Studies have shown that reading to therapy animals helps children relax, increases their interest in reading, and improves their reading skills. The Brownsville Public Library welcomes Kona and Baxter this year for our “Paws” to R.E.A.D. program. Based upon participation, the program will be held the second Thursday of each month (October-May) from 5:00-6:00 p.m. This program is free and open to the public!
